Accreditation
BALTIMORE STUDIO OF HAIR DESIGN and MARYLAND BEAUTY ACADEMY- (Essex / Westminster) are nationally accredited schools through The National Accrediting Commission of Career Arts and Sciences (NACCAS) and approved for education through Maryland Higher Education Commission and the United States Department of Education.
What is Accreditation?
Accreditation means that a school has met national standards of educational performance which have been established by an impartial non-governmental agency. Through the years, accreditation of schools has been the most authoritative and reliable index of a school's concern for integrity toward its students and quality education. *
A school becomes accredited by formal action of the Commission. The Commission reviews information submitted by the school and appoints an Inspection Team to visit and evaluate the school according to Commission established standards. Schools are re-evaluated at least once every five years for continuation of accreditation. *
NACCAS is recognized by the US. Department of Education as a national agency for the institutional accreditation of postsecondary schools and departments of cosmetology arts and sciences, including specialized schools. It presently accredits approximately 1,000 institutions which serve over 100,000 students. *
